This term our topic is Survivors and we had to create an animation about where animals live and  how they adapt. My animal is a polar bear and he lives in the arctic.

My polar bear has thick fur to keep him warm in the arctic because is really cold there and he has white skin to blend in with the white snow and ice so he doesn't get eaten.

If my animal lived in the desert it would die? I’ll tell you why it would die. My polar bear would die in the desert because he can’t camouflage with the orange sand so he would be seen easily and his feet are to heavy so he will sink into the sand.

To make my animal survive in the desert what would I have to do? I would have to shave his skin off so he doesn't get hot and die and maybe give him some hoofs so he doesn’t sink into the sand.

Do you really think that my animal would survive in the desert? I think that he won’t because he would have to change too much. Anyways I hope you enjoyed my movie. Thanks for watching bye.

40 hr famine

Last weekend the Extiension group stayed at school for the night because they were doing the 40hr no eating famine.The only thing we were alowed to eat was barley sugars and just juice. It was such a crazy night.

Holiday recount

One Saturday morning at 8:30am Me,april and my mum went to extreme sports for softball prize giving.Extreme sports is in a place called botany.

When we got there we saw our coach his name is jo.Then we went inside to see if it was open and it was  open. So we waited for the rest of the team to show up.

When the whole team showed up we went to the counter to get some boiling shoes.Then we went to do some boiling. I was in team 1 and I was a leader. I didn't really know how to do boiling  so it was kinda my first time.After boiling we played other games like basketball,table hockey, and a whole lot of other games.

Then the whole team played lazer frenzy. Lazer frenzy is a game when you have to try dodge the lasers and if you get tagged by them then you are out and if you don’t get tagged through the whole game then you win and get tickets and buy cool stuff.

After a while we had some lunch for lunch we had Mcdonalds our coach said that we were only allowed a triple cheeseburger a double or a single mostly everyone got a triple cheese because they were so hungry.

After that we handed out our awards. For our awards we got trophies,certificates and

lolies. Then we had dessert we had Ice cream and chocolate sunday it was delicious!

It was so fun! I didn’t want to leave.

What is Easter

People have different beliefs about Easter. Some people think it is about bunnies, easter eggs, food, when Jesus Christ was resurrected and some people don’t celebrate it.

Christians believed that jesus died on the cross for our sins. On Easter sunday jesus went back to heaven he got sent by god.

My reading group has been reading about marine reserve a marine reserve is a reserve that the goverment said that you can not feed the fish because if you keep feeding the fish they won't no how to feed them self.

camp

Have you Ever been on camp before?” well I have. On a sticky stinky  wednesday to friday we stayed at school because it was camp.For camp we got put into teams my team was the All stars. We had two leaders and their names were Adgreal and Hendrix and our teacher was Miss Vaafusuaga.

All the year 5 & 6 went to camp but some of the year 5 stayed back because they couldn't come. The kids who  stayed back had a reliever there reliever was Mrs Muliaumaseali'i.

On wednesday our first activity was kayaking. The funniest part about kayaking was when I always feel of the kayak? It was the first time i have been kayaking so it was scary!

The second activity was blogging. When we got to our class we were going to blog but the cupboards were locked so we did our practise for our concert.Then the third activity was top town  the teachers call it top town but Mr Jacobson called it the kill zone.

At the kill Zone there is the tunnel of doom”,catapults,slingshot,water fight,war zone,wet sponges and when we got to the end we got to raise the flag and do a chant it was so cool!

On friday we spent half the day at the mangere pools there was 3 pools the 1st pool was the swimming pool and so was the 2nd pool. But the 3rd pool was the bombing pool!. Also there was a big humongous slide that we went down” we went down on a  board. Also the bombing pool had a slide to and jon - amores dad went on it and he did a backflip it was cool.

Then after that we had lunch. For lunch we had pizza bread and biscuits and milk.It was delicious.

Use your W.I.T.S

At pt england school we use something called our  W.I.T.S

W stands for walk away. walk away  means if someone is doing something you don’t like you can walk away.

I means Ignore. Ignore means if someone is calling you names you can Ignore them and if they keep  saying stuff the walk away.

T means talk about it. Talk about it means talk to the person who was being mean and tell them to stop and they might even stop.

S means seek help. seek help means if someone is still being a bully then you could talk to a teacher a friend or a prefect  and the prefect will talk to the person who was being a bully and they might stop.

Using your W.I.T.S can help you in life and it doesn't get you in trouble

My reading group was reading about eels. I found out if you chuck some bait in the water then they will come up. Here is a presentation about eels.

Holiday recount

In the holidays I went to the beach with my family. We went to get some cockils and pipis for dinner. My uncle showed me and my sister how to dive to get the pipis.

When we got back home we took the cockils and the pipes out of the bag. Then we smoked them on the BBQ and when their ready they taste delicious. When  we were finished dinner we were allowed to roast marshmallows over the fire they were delicious to.             

After we roasted our marshmallows we went to bed. The next day we went to the hot pools with my uncle and my aunty also my cousin. The pool is really deep I almost sunk to the bottom.

After our swim we went to get some fish and chips with hot dogs for lunch                

it was so delicious.  It was such a  great time i wanted to stay
