Tea bag experiment
This morning in maths we started of with an experiment, that involved a tea bag and a lighter
The tea bag is like a hot air balloon when Mrs stone sets the teabag on fire the air inside of the teabag starts to heat up and because it is heating up it is starting to rise because heat always rises it pushes against the fabric wall of the teabag and forces the tea bag to rise into the air.Hot air rises because it has more energy than cold air

Accomplishable Algebra
Accomplishable Algebra
We are learning to identify the rule for a pattern of numbers
Multiplication practice:
56 ➗ 8 = 6 72 ➗ 9 =8 44 ➗ 11 =4
45 ➗ 9 = 5 64 ➗ 8 = 8 56 ➗ 7 =8
35 ➗ 5 = 7 144 ➗ 12 =12 27 ➗ 3 =9
82 = 64 2 = 81 2 = 49
62 = 36
The rule is:N x 3 + 1
The 20th number in the pattern is 61
|
|
The rule is:N x 5-1
The 100th number in the pattern is 499
|
The rule is:N x N x N
The 10th number in the pattern 1000
|
The rule is:N x 7 +1
The 100th number in the pattern is701

BEDMAS.
BEDMAS
We are learning to solve division problems using proportional adjustments
Timetable practice:
7² 49 8² 64 9² 81 12² 144 6² 36 5² 25 10² 100
√81 9 √49 7 √81 9 √144 12 √36 6 √121 11
Brackets Exponents Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction
2 3 × (8 + 4 − 10)=46
2 × ( 3 3 − 5 + 8 )=72
( 3 × 2 2 ) ÷ (6 − 4)=64
3 3 × (6 + 2 − 8) =0
( 3 2 − 8 + 2 ) × 4=104
( 9 2 − 8 + 2 ) ÷ 5=17.5
( 3 + 5 2 − 8 ) × 4= 376
( 2 3 + 4 ) ÷ (9 − 6)=9
( 6 − 2 2 + 5 ) × 8=168
( 2 3 + 8 − 4 ) ÷ 3=9
